Auto steer for tractors, sold by farmers who run it
Deep Sand Tech sells, installs and supports FJDynamics auto steer kits: a tractor auto steer system that retrofits to the tractor you already own. Any brand, any age, steer-ready or not. The tractor holds a straight line to within an inch, pass after pass, while you watch the planter instead of the hood.

- No more overlap and skips. Every pass butts up to the last one. You stop paying twice for seed, fertilizer and chemical on the strip you double-covered, and you stop leaving strips you missed.
- Longer days without wearing out. The tractor steers. You run the implement, check the monitor, and finish the field. Night planting and spraying stop being white-knuckle work.
- Same lines every year. Save your A-B lines and put this year's planter on last year's rows. Strip-till, controlled traffic and sidedress all get easier.
- Anyone can run the tractor. A new hire or a family member who does not plant every day holds the same line you would.
Will it work on my equipment?
We get asked this a lot. Swathers, combines, articulated 4WDs, self-propelled sprayers, track tractors, UTVs, you name it. The answer is yes.
It does not matter the age or the color of your equipment. We have a system that will steer it. Send us the make and model and we will tell you which system fits your needs best!
Which auto steer kit fits your tractor?
Start with how your tractor steers today. That decides which kit you need. The display size and the RTK signal come after, and we help you pick both.
| Your tractor | What you need | FJD kit |
|---|---|---|
| Any tractor, any age, no factory autosteer | An electric motor mounts on the steering column and turns the wheel for you. No hydraulic valve to plumb, no CAN bus, no dealer software to unlock. This is the auto steer kit on most of the tractors we sell into, including row-crop tractors built decades before GPS existed. | AT2 Lite simple start AT2 ISOBUS AT2 Max 12.1" display AT2 Ultra 16" flagship |
| Factory steer-ready (CAN) tractor | Your tractor already has the steering valve and the wiring from the factory. The AS2 plugs into that steer-ready connection and drives the factory valve from the cab. The steering wheel stays exactly as it is. | AS2 Steer Ready plug in |
| Tractor already has a hydraulic steering valve, or you just prefer a valve over a motor | Some tractors already have an autosteer hydraulic valve in the steering circuit but no CAN steer-ready connection. The AH2 controls that valve directly. It is also the choice for anyone who would rather run a hydraulic valve than a steering-wheel motor. There is no difference in accuracy or performance between the two; it comes down to what the tractor has and what you prefer. | AH2 / AH2 Max hydraulic |
| Guidance only, or a mixed fleet | A guidance display shows you the line and maps your coverage while you steer by hand. You can add auto steer and ISOBUS later without starting over. | AG1 Guidance |
| Implement drifting on slopes or sandy ground | Adds a second receiver on the implement so the tractor steers to keep the planter or drill on the line, not just the cab. Fixes drift on side hills and sandy ground. | Path Assist with AT2 / AT2 Max |
Not sure which one you have? Send us the make, model and year. We check the steering setup before anything ships. A kit sold to the wrong tractor is a bad day for everyone, so we do not guess.
AT2 Lite vs AT2 vs AT2 Max vs AT2 Ultra
All four AT2 tractor auto steer systems use the same steering motor and hold the same one-inch RTK accuracy. What changes is the screen size and what the system can run besides steering: ISOBUS implements, rate control, cameras.

Free software updates apply across the AT2 series. Displays can be moved between machines; receivers and angle sensors stay with the kit they shipped with.
What an install looks like
Frames from an AT2 auto steer install on a customer's John Deere. Most farmers do the install themselves in an afternoon with us on the phone, and we log in remotely to help with tuning if it needs it.

Tell us what you run
Make, model, year, and what you pull. We pick the kit, bracket and spline.
Kit ships to the farm
Motor, receiver, display, harness and bracket, with your RTK access set up before it leaves.
Bolt it on
Bracket, motor, roof receiver, power and display. An afternoon for most tractors.
Calibrate with us on the line
We walk you through calibration and tuning by phone or remote login, then you go plant.
RTK signal: how the tractor knows where it is
GPS alone puts you within a few feet. RTK correction is what gets auto steer to within an inch, and it is what most people are missing when they say "GPS auto steer" did not work for them. Every kit we sell ships with an RTK plan already set up.
GEODNET network RTK
Corrections over a cellular SIM from the GEODNET station network. No base station to own, move or level. What most of our customers run.

Learn moreQuestions farmers ask us about auto steer
How much does auto steer for a tractor cost?
It depends on three things: which kit fits your tractor (electric steering-wheel motor, steer-ready plug-in, or hydraulic valve), which display you want, and how you get your RTK signal. We do not post prices online because the right answer changes with your tractor and your fields, and we would rather quote you the right kit than the cheapest one. Call or text (580) 394-0089 or send the Talk To Farm Experts form with your make, model and year and we will give you a straight quote, with nothing hidden and no pressure.
Can I put auto steer on an older tractor?
Yes. Older tractors are most of what we do. The AT2 series is a retrofit auto steer kit: it bolts an electric motor to the steering column, so it does not need factory auto steer wiring, a hydraulic valve or a CAN bus. Many of the tractors we set up were built in the 1970s and 1980s. Send us the make, model and year and we will tell you which bracket and spline it takes.
How accurate is it?
With an RTK correction signal the FJD kits hold pass-to-pass accuracy of about 2.5 cm, right at one inch, under normal conditions and with proper calibration. That is the same repeatable accuracy as the factory systems, and it is what lets you plant, spray and strip-till on the same lines season after season. Without RTK, plain GPS or WAAS is only good to a few feet, which is why we set every customer up with RTK.
Do I need my own base station?
Usually not. Most of our customers run GEODNET network RTK through a cellular SIM, so there is nothing to set up in the field. If your fields have poor cell coverage, a V1 portable base station gives you your own signal over radio, and StarNav satellite correction is an option where neither cell nor radio works well.
What is the difference between the AT2 Lite, AT2, AT2 Max and AT2 Ultra?
All four use the same electric steering motor and the same RTK accuracy. The AT2 Lite is a steering-only kit with a 10-inch tablet, made for a simple, lower-cost start. The AT2 adds ISOBUS implement control, automatic U-turns and Path Assist support. The AT2 Max steps up to a 12.1-inch display, more computing power and up to 24 ISOBUS sections. The AT2 Ultra is the 16-inch flagship with voice control and dual camera inputs. If you only want the tractor to steer straight, the Lite is enough; if you want it to run your sprayer or planter too, look at the AT2 or Max.
My tractor is steer-ready. Do I still need a steering motor?
No. If your tractor has a factory steer-ready CAN connection, the AS2 plugs into it and drives the factory hydraulic valve from the cab, so the steering wheel stays exactly as it is. Not every tractor marked steer-ready is CAN based, so we confirm the model with you before shipping. If it is not CAN based but the tractor already has a hydraulic steering valve, the AH2 runs that valve. If it has neither, an AT2 motor kit is the fit. Either way the accuracy is the same.
Does it work on combines, sprayers and swathers?
Yes. We have customers running FJD autosteer on combines, self-propelled sprayers, swathers and articulated 4WD tractors as well as row-crop tractors. Each machine type has its own settings and, in some cases, its own bracket. Tell us the machine and we will tell you what it takes.
Can I install it myself?
Most farmers do. A typical AT2 install is a bracket on the steering column, the receiver on the roof, a power cable and the display, and usually takes an afternoon. We walk you through calibration by phone or video, and we can log into the system remotely to help with tuning. If you would rather have it installed, ask us about installers in your area.
What if it does not work out for me?
Every system we sell carries a two-year warranty and a one-year buy-back guarantee, and support is handled by our own team in Oklahoma, not a call center. We are farmers ourselves, and we answer the phone during planting and harvest.
