Farming in Illinois

Corn and soybeans across the whole state, with wheat double-crop soybeans in the south and a lot of strip-till and precision planting in the central prairie counties.

What we put auto steer on here

Illinois has some of the newest iron and some of the oldest, often on the same farm. AS2 steer-ready kits for the newer planter tractors, AT2 motor kits for the older tractors that still run the sprayer, the drill or the grain cart, and Path Assist for keeping the planter on the strip.

Shipping and support

Kits ship to Illinois in about three business days. The Farm Progress Show comes to Decatur in odd years.

RTK in Illinois

Every kit ships with an RTK plan. Most Illinois customers run on the GEODNET network, which needs no base station of your own; where coverage is thin we set you up with a V1 base station or StarNav. We check coverage at your farm before we quote, not after.

Farm shows in Illinois

  • Farm Progress Show (late August, Decatur, odd years)
  • Greater Peoria Farm Show (December, Peoria)

We post which shows we are attending each season on Facebook.

Which kit fits your tractor?

Start with how your tractor steers today. Electric motor kits (AT2 Lite, AT2, AT2 Max, AT2 Ultra) bolt to the steering column of any tractor. AS2 plugs into factory steer-ready tractors. AH2 runs a hydraulic steering valve on tractors that have one, or for anyone who prefers a valve. The full comparison, install photos and farmer questions are on our Autosteer for Tractors page.

Send us the make, model and year and we will tell you which system fits your needs best.
