Kansas wheat is everywhere, and it sets the calendar. The High Plains around Colby, Goodland and Liberal is dryland wheat and grain sorghum, the southwest around Garden City, Dodge City and Ulysses runs pivot corn and soybeans over the Ogallala, and the east around Salina, Manhattan and Emporia rotates corn, soybeans and wheat.
